Men, Work & Babies

How much time should a father take off to be home with his new baby?

How many hours a week should a professional work?

What is the correct work/life balance for men? A lot has been written about women, but what about men?

I took a poll at my work. One to two weeks is what most men answered. I am very shocked. Seattle is known to be progressive- but not nearly enough. Healthy early attachment requires a mother to get extra special support from her partner. The partner needs to be there to help the mother recover from the birth- especially if there is surgery- they need to feed, care and nurture the mother so that she can nurture the baby.
Crazy society- so much for Seattle being progressive.
